Horizon
A Complete View of Vessel Traffic
Horizon is designed to help organizations increase the effectiveness and
efficiency of their operations. Horizon is ICAN's shore-based vessel traffic and
monitoring system which enables your organizations to view and track your fleet
from the comfort of your office. Horizon connects to a public or private TCP
network with base-stations and vessels using the AIS network allowing you to
view all vessel traffic in any area. Horizon also has the functionality to
connect to multiple base stations and mobile sites so the user can view vessels
in any location around the world. Horizon is also used for tracking AIS targets
with data received from the Internet or through a satellite terminal.
Organizations can take control of their fleet activity, query AIS targets for
information, and send and receive text and safety related messages. Since
Horizon is fully configurable, you can adjust the display and information
panels, customize color patterns for AIS targets, set entry or exit alarms and
